An online orientation session is scheduled for 9 am on the morning of the 27th of September, where you will be provided with all the information you require about the nursing and midwifery programmes and the timetable.
Information relating to your timetable and how to access it, and your timetable for the 1st week will be emailed to you on the evening of the 22nd of September. Please be sure to check your emails, after 6 pm on that date.
Now that the summer 2021 examination session has been completed, many of you will be making plans for return to College in September 2021 and this email aims to provide with you an update to assist your planning. 2021/22 OBJECTIVE: We are striving to be fully back on campus, based upon public health advice, vaccination roll-out and rapid antigen testing (research project being conducted in four universities including UCC). Your safety and that of our community guides our decision making. The campus experience is so important for students and staff and we working to restore this experience based on the assumption that there will be a high proportion of the population vaccinated (including our staff and students). We will be encouraging all staff and students to download and use the UCC COVID Tracker App ahead of planned visits to campus. This App will remind us of the sign and symptoms of COVID19 and will indicate to individuals when they should remain at home, isolate and seek medical / public health advice. UCC is also participating in the Rapid Antigen Testing pilot programme across HEIs unicov.org/join-the-study-ucc All guidance is based upon updated Public Health advice. Please note the following: Lectures, tutorials, performances and practicals will be delivered either in-person or in a blended online/in-person format, depending on public health advice. Unless otherwise advised by the relevant School\Department all research activities will take place on-campus (including desk based research) subject to public health advice. Where appropriate lectures may be recorded to enhance and maximise the learning experience for students
