PhD Opportunities
The National Perinatal Epidemiology Centre is a research centre based in Cork University Maternity Hospital. The overall objective of the Centre is to collaborate with Irish maternity services to translate clinical audit data and epidemiological evidence into improved maternity care for families in Ireland. Achievement of our mission is carried out using a wide range of research methodologies, including: prospective surveillance, secondary data analysis, qualitative research and systematic reviews. We seek applications from candidates who are interested in undertaking a PhD within these research areas. Applications will be accepted from candidates from a wide range of disciplines including: epidemiology, nursing, midwifery, psychology, applied social studies, sociology, public health, health economics and biostatistics.
