Preterm Rupture of Membranes

"Mid-trimester Prolonged Rupture of Membranes" and "Delayed Interval Delivery in Premature Multiple Pregnancy"

The National Perinatal Epidemiology Centre has established national audits on the topics of both "Mid-trimester Prolonged Rupture of Membranes" and "Delayed Interval Delivery in Premature Multiple Pregnancy".

It is aimed that robust national data on these events will underpin a multidisciplinary national clinical guideline.

A multidisciplinary specialist group has been convened and the audits have been endorsed by the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the HSE Clinical Care Programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Prospective data collection began in January 2017. The data forms for each event are available at the link to the right and, in cases of either event, the relevant data form should be completed and returned to the NPEC.
