Double FT ranking and Irish 'first' for IMI

23 May
IMI has been listed on the FT's Customised and Open global rankings, with the latter covering short executive education programmes and those academically validated by UCC.

IMI has become the first Irish executive education provider to be listed simultaneously on both the Customised and Open global rankings, published by the Financial Times.

IMI has retained the prestigious global rankings for the provision of Customised Executive Education for the 10th year in a row, with the Open ranking achieved for the first time in 2018. This means that all aspects of IMI’s executive education are now globally ranked.

The Open Enrolment ranking covers both IMI’s short executive education programmes and also the IMI programmes which are academically validated by UCC. IMI is ranked 78th globally, 40th in Europe and 8th in UK and Ireland for Open Enrolment programmes in 2018.

Professor Patrick O’Shea, President of UCC, congratulated IMI on its international ranking success. "We are immensely proud that IMI has been recognised as a global leader in executive education for both its Customised and Open programmes. This is testament to the quality of what IMI delivers to the corporate and business community and we look forward to continued success as we advance our plans to develop UCC and Cork University Business School, in particular, as a leader in business education and research for and with the community locally and globally.”

This year IMI has added to its programme portfolio with a new programme for women in leadership, while three new open programmes aimed at senior business leaders will be launched in Autumn 2018.

"Our continued and improving performance in the global rankings is a confirmation of the strides IMI has made over the last number of years on the international stage," commented Simon Boucher, CEO of IMI. "This achievement is a testament to the quality of IMI executive education and will be very valuable in growing our presence across Ireland and particularly in international markets, where the Financial Times’s global rankings are recognised as a crucial quality mark."

IMI is ranked 61st globally for the provision of customised executive education, 29th in Europe and 10th in the UK and Ireland.
