University College Cork’s College of Medicine and Health has generated €100 million in research income over the last five years through research centres like APC Microbiome Ireland.

Microbe Mom, a new collaboration between academia and industry set to generate health solutions for mothers and infants in Ireland, has been launched.

UCC President Professor Patrick O’Shea today signed the Presidents United to Solve Hunger (PUSH) commitment, making UCC the first Irish University to sign, joining about 100 Universities worldwide who have already done so.

Ireland’s seven universities have started a campaign aimed at encouraging the public to demand that the Government tackles the funding crisis in Third Level education.

Thanks to University College Cork and The Agricultural Trust, the legacy of Irish agricultural legend, Paddy O’Keeffe, will live on through a new Senior Lectureship.  

 University College Cork has become the first institution outside of North America to achieve a gold star rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). 

UCC will this week open its laboratory doors to budding young forensic scientists, inviting children and teens in to learn what it takes to solve a crime.

A new scholarship programme designed to help promote women take on leadership roles within companies and organisations has been developed in collaboration with the 30% Club.
