Professor Cathal O'Connell
Professor Cathal O’Connell has been a member of the Department of Applied Social Studies since 1991, having previously worked in local government. He is Director of the B.Soc.Sc Degree and a member of the B.Soc.Sc team. As well as being a member of the course executive of the M.Plan, he is a member of the Board of Studies of the B.Sc. in Government and Public Policy. He has taught and published widely in the areas of Irish social policy development, housing policy and housing management and urban issues. Among his recent publications are ‘The State and the Housing Market in Ireland’ in Norris. M & Redmond.
