Module Objective: |
To support students engage with experienced practitioners who have mentored both individuals and groups in workplace, school and community settings. Opportunities for practice of interventions and assessment of outcomes are provided.

Module Content: |
Case studies, theoretical input and practice of relationship mentoring interventions in different work/social settings.

Learning Outcome: |
On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:- Identify best practice in assessing the needs of an individual client or of a work/educational/social organisation.
- Design appropriate interventions for different case/group scenarios
- Identify and determine how best to respond to the inevitable defensive responses that arise during interventions.
- Create relational depth with and safe holding for the individuals concerned.
- Evaluate objectively the effects of the interventions made and design appropriate follow-up methods.

Assessment: |
Total Marks 100: Continuous Assessment 100 marks (2,500 word case study presentation).
|

Continuous Assessment.

Penalties (for late submission of course/project work etc.): |
Where work is submitted up to and including 7 days late, 5% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved. Where work is submitted up to and including 14 days late, 10% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved. Work submitted 15 days late or more shall be assigned a mark of zero.

40% 80% attendance which is monitored by a class register.
