Professor Alan Dobson appointed to the Board of the Marine Institute

Professor Alan Dobson was recently appointed to the Board of the Marine Institute by the Minister for Agriculture, Food & the Marine, Mr Simon Coveney TD.
Alan has research interests in the Marine Biotechnology and Marine Bioenergy areas. He is looking forward to contributing to the work of the Marine Institute which encompasses marine research and development and the promotion of economic development, the creation of employment and protecting the marine environment. The appointment is for a 5 year period. Alan is currently also a member of the International Advisory Group of the Marine Biotechnology ERANet (ERA – MBT) and a Board Member of the International Marine Biotechnology Association (IMBA).
