Teaching and Learning

Members of the Medical Education Unit co-ordinate and deliver a substantial proportion of the undergraduate curriculum, in both 5 year and Graduate Entry programmes. This activity is spread across Streams 2, 3 and 4 and extends from Year 1 to Final Year.

We are committed to best practice in Medical Education and the provision of a high quality student experience. We play an important role in the pastoral care of students throughout their undergraduate years, delivered through year co-ordinators, clinical site tutors and the Student Mentoring and Welfare programmes. We work with Departments within the School of Medicine to develop innovative teaching and to ensure implementation of best practice. We provide guidance across a range of areas of Medical Education on request.
