University College, Cork

We, the Governing Body of University College, Cork, under and by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred on us by the said Act, Do by this present instrument under the Seal of University College, Cork, make the Statute contained in the Schedule hereof for the general government of the said College.

Given under the Common Seal of University College, Cork, this nineteenth day of December, 1941.

Statute XLI.

Schedule

Statutes I. to XL. of University College, Cork, shall be read and construed with the additions, modifications and amendments hereinafter set forth.

CHAPTER I.

1. Notwithstanding anything contained in Statute XXXVI., Chap. II., the initial stipend of the Professorship of Physiology and of the Professorship of Anatomy shall he £900 per annum in accordance with Statute XXI.
2. Notwithstanding anything contained in Statute XXXVI., Chap. II., the stipend of the present holder of the Professorship of Pathology shall be £800 per annum as from 1st October, 1941.

CHAPTER II.

In calculating the Pension payable to Professor B. P. Fitzgerald on his retirement from Office, eight years shall be counted to his actual years of service instead of seven years, as prescribed by Section 7 of the Additional Pension Scheme attached to Statute XXXIX., Chapter II.

CHAPTER III.

1. The holders of the Lectureships in Dairy Bacteriology, in Dairy Chemistry and in Dairy Technology having been appointed to the Professorships of these subjects established by Statute XXXVIII., Chap. I., and the said Lectureships having been extinguished in accordance with Statute XXXVIII., Chap. I., Sec. 5., the holders of the full-time Offices set out in Table B. hereunder are hereby declared to hold Pensionable Offices :--

2. In accordance with Clause 2 of the Pension Scheme attached to Statute XXXIX., Chap. III., and Clause 2 of the Pension Scheme attached to Statute XXXIX., Chap. II., the said Table B. is hereby declared to be annexed to and form part of the Pension Scheme attached to Statute XXXIX. Chap. III., and the provisions of the last mentioned Pension Scheme shall apply to the holders of the Offices set out in said Table B., subject to and with the benefit of the provisions as to pension rights contained in Statute XXXVI II., Chap. I., Sec. 6.

CHAPTER IV.

1. This Statute shall be construed with and as part of Statutes I. to XL. of University College, Cork, and may be cited as Statute XLI. of University College, Cork, or Stat. XLI. of Univ. Coll., Cork.
2. This Statute shall come into operation on the nineteenth day of December, 1941. Present when the Common Seal of University College, Cork, was affixed hereto:--
