Statute XXXVII.

Irish Universities Act, 1908

University College, Cork

We, the Governing Body of University College, Cork, under and by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred on us by the said Act, Do by this present instrument under the Seal of University College, Cork, make the Statute contained in the Schedule hereof for the general government of the said College.

Given under the Common Seal of University College, Cork, this Ninth day of June, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty-nine.

Statute XXXVII.

Schedule

Statutes I. to XXXVI. of University College, Cork, shall be read and construed with the additions, modifications and amendments hereinafter set forth.

CHAPTER I.

  1. There shall be in the College (in the event of such a Lectureship being instituted within the College by the Senate of the National University of Ireland), in addition to the Lectureships mentioned in Statutes I. to XXXVI. of University College, Cork:

    A Lectureship in Celtic Languages.

  2. The stipend (or salary) of the said Lectureship shall be £550 per annum, payable in accordance with the Statutes of the College, and shall be subject to the terms of Chapter II. of Statute XXXVI of University College, Cork.
  3. The said Lectureship shall be deemed to be a full time Lectureship within the meaning of the Statutes of the College and the University, and shall be a Pensionable Office in accordance with the Statutes of the College and Pension Scheme made thereunder.
  4. The duties of the Lecturer shall be to lecture and examine in Celtic Languages, and to pursue research. He shall carry out his duties under the direction of the Professor of Irish Language and Literature.
  5. The said Lectureship shall be tenable for the same term and upon the same conditions, and the holder thereof shall be subject to the same duties and obligations as if the said Lectureship had been included in Statutes I. to XXXVI. of University College, Cork.

CHAPTER II.

  1. . There shall be in the College (in the event of such a Lectureship being instituted within the College by the Senate of the National University of Ireland), in addition to the Lectureships mentioned in Statutes I. to XXXVI. of University College, Cork, and in Chapter I. hereof:
