University College, Cork

We, the Governing Body of University College, Cork, under and by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred on us by the said Act, Do by this present instrument under the Seal of University College, Cork, make the Statute contained in the Schedule hereof for the general government of the said College.

Given under the Common Seal of University College, Cork, this twenty-first day of January, 1986.

Statute CXXXIX.

Schedule

Statutes I. to CXXXVIII. of University College, Cork shall be read and construed with the additions, modifications and amendments hereinafter set forth.

CHAPTER I.
Increased Stipends

1. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary contained in Statutes I. to CXXXVIII. of University College, Cork, the annual stipends of the President, of the Professorships and Lectureships and of the Officers of the College shall be increased as from the dates specified and as hereinafter set forth.
2. The said stipends as already provided in these statutes shall be increased as from 1 January, 1985, by 3% and shall be further increased as from 1 July, 1985, by 3%.
3. The deductions referred to in Statute CXXXII., Chapter I. , section 2(b) shall, as from 1 January, 1985, be IR£2,760 and as from 1 July, 1985, be IR£2,843.
4. The additional amount referred to in Statute CXXXVI., Chapter I., section 5(b), shall be increased as from 1 January, 1985, by 3% and shall be further increased as from 1 July, 1985, by 3%.

CHAPTER II.
Childrens' Allowances

Statute LXVII., Chapter IV., section 2, already amended, is hereby further amended to the extent that the amount of the children's allowances, as from 1 January, 1985, be increased by IR£1 per annum, and shall as from 1 July, 1985, be further increased by IR£1 per annum.

CHAPTER III.

1. This Statute shall be construed with and as part of Statutes I. to CXXXVIII. of University College, Cork and may be cited as Statute CXXXIX. of University College, Cork or Stat. CXXXIX. of Univ. Coll. Cork.
2. This Statute shall come into operation on the twenty-first day of January, 1986.
