We, the Governing Body of University College, Cork, under and by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred on us by the said Act, Do by this present instrument under the Seal of University College, Cork, make the Statute contained in the Schedule hereof for the general government of the said College.

Statutes I. to CXIII. of University College, Cork shall be read and, construed with the additions, modifications and amendments hereinafter set forth.
Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary contained in Statutes I. to CXIII. of University College, Cork, the annual stipend of the President, of the professorships and lectureships set forth in this Chapter and of the Officers of the College shall, as from 1 April, 1977, and as from 1 November, 1977, be those hereinafter set forth.
The annual stipends as set forth in Statute CIX., Chapter 1. sections 2, 3,4(a),4(b), 4(c), 6(a), 6(b) and 7, as amended by Statute CXI. Chapter I., section 2, shall, as from 1 April 1977 be increased by 2½% and by £52.20 per annum subject to a minimum increase of £104 per annum and a maximum increase of £216 per annum, the increased stipends to be each rounded to the nearest pound; such increased stipends shall, as from 1 November 1977, be further increased by 2 ½% and by £52.20 per annum subject to a minimum increase of £104 per annum and a maximum increase of £221 per annum, the further increased stipends to be each rounded to the nearest pound.
(a) The annual stipend of each of the full-time professorships set out in this sub-section shall, as from 1 April 1977, be £7,250½ and shall as from 1 November 1977, be £7,361.
Provided that the total of the annual stipend herein provided and the annual salary payable to the holder as Consultant by the Southern Health Board shall not as from 1 April, 1977, exceed £14,501 and shall not, as from 1 November, 1977, exceed £14,722.
(b) The annual stipend of each of the part-time professorships set out in this sub-section shall, as from 1 April, 1977 be £2,964 and shall as from 1 November 1977, be £3,031.
(c) The annual stipend of the part-time Professorship of Chemical Spectroscopy shall, as from 1 April, 1977, be £372 and shall as from 1 November, 1977, be £380.
(d) The annual stipend of the part-time Professorship of Mathematical Statistics shall, as from 1 April, 1977, be £1,976 and shall as from 1 November, 1977, be £2,020.
(a) The annual stipend of each of the full-time lectureships set out in this sub-section shall, as from 1 April, 1977, be £6,165 and shall, as from 1 November, 1977, be £6,275½.
Provided that the total of the annual stipend herein provided and the annual salary payable to the holder as Consultant by the Southern Health Board shall not, as from 1 April, 1977, exceed £12,330 and shall not, as from 1 November, 1977, exceed £12,551.
(b) The annual stipend of the Lectureship in Preventive Dentistry shall, as from the dates indicated, be as set out:

Subject to review by the Academic Council and the Governing Body, each Faculty shall have power to appoint committees for any purpose within the scope of the powers or duties of the Faculty and to prescribe their duties and to define their powers.
This Statute shall be construed with and as part of Statutes I. to CXIII. of University College, Cork and may be cited as Statute CXIV. of University College, Cork or Stat. CXIV. of Univ. Coll. Cork.
This Statute shall come into operation on the twenty-sixth day of May, 1977.
