Employment-based PhD Programme Scholarships

The Employment-Based PhD Programme Scholarship is a new initiative from University College Cork offering an exciting opportunity to conduct research within the workplace as an employee with the support of the employment partner and UCC.

UCC is offering up to 20 PhD scholarships of which 5 are being offered within the College of Medicine and Health. Scholarships will fund annual fees PLUS €5,000 per annum if full time or €2,500 per annum if part time for associated research costs.

External Course/Module Recognition

PhD/PhD Track students can apply for recognition of modules taken outside of UCC. If you have taken or plan to take courses or modules outside UCC and wish to get credits towards your PhD, you will need to complete an External Course/Module Recognition Form and return to the CoMH Graduate Studies Office (, for approval.
