Michael O'Sullivan

I received my BSc. in Computer Science from UCC in 2012, and started my PhD in the same year, under the supervision of Dr. Dan Grigoras. I successfully received an IRCSET EMBARK award, my application for which was sponsored by Professor Cormac Sreenan and Dr. John Herbert, and my research is funded under this scheme. My research is in the area of mobile cloud computing, where I am looking at models of integration between mobile applications and cloud resources, to provide an integrated user experience on mobile devices. This research also involves areas such as context awareness and middleware.

I am also currently a lab demonstrator for BSc. and MSc. modules lectured by Dr. Grigoras.

Outside of university, I am very passionate in my hobby of civil aviation.
