Candidates must have a HC3 in Chemistry and a HC3 in either Biology or Physics.  Candidates will be required to sit the new medical admissions test HPAT-Ireland and the score will be a mandatory criterion to be used as part of the selection process.  For more information about the HPAT assessment click on this link

Special Entry: Subject to availability a small number of places in the second year of the medical programme, may be offered to qualified dentists wishing to take a medical degree.  Such candidates should apply directly to Admissions Office, UCC.

CK 703: BPharm (Hons) (Pharmacy)

In short listing for interview, consideration is given not only to those who have previous degrees but also to those who have no prior experience of third level education. To apply a student must have the following: Leaving Certificate or equivalent including at least a Grade C in Honours Chemistry. (Equivalent normally means Chemistry course undertaken and passed in Third level institution)

Careful consideration is also given to relevant career experience and motivation as expressed in a personal statement.

The Dept. of Occupational Therapy welcomes application from mature candidates. Related life experience as well as an academic background in relevant sciences will be seen as an advantage in the application process. 

Applicants must demonstrate they understand the orientation of the occupational therapy profession and have visited relevant websites and contacted local therapists.  Experience working with or caring for vulnerable children or people would be an advantage. The selection criteria are posted on our website. Selected candidates will be called for interview.

The Department of Epidemiology and Public Health encourages applications from mature students. In selecting candidates for interview, equal weight is given to educational backround, as well as working and voluntary experience.

The BSc in Public Health and Health Promotion programme will address the prevention of disease, the prolonging of life and the promotion of health through the organised efforts of society. It will provide broadly based training reflecting the range of skills that are involved in keeping people healthy and preventing disease.

Preference is given to candidates who have studied mathematics and a laboratory science subject.
