Laura Hayes Hamilton Prize Winner 2022

Laura Hayes a 4th-year Financial Maths and Actuarial student has been awarded the prestigious Hamilton Prize in Mathematics for UCC for her results in the penultimate year of her examinations.
The Hamilton Prize is named after the famed Irish scientist William Rowan Hamilton and his discovery of quaternion algebra on 16th October 1843. Laura UCC’s winner for 2022 said “I’m delighted to be selected for this prestigious award and I am looking forward to the official ceremony which takes place in March”. The official ceremony takes place on the 1st of March in Academy House and is kindly sponsored by IBEC.
