PhD Student Study Abroad Success

Current PhD Law students have been the recipients of prestigious Study Abroad / Research Fellowships, reflecting the increasing internationalisation of UCC Law’s PhD programme.

Currently, Joe McGrath is on a visiting research fellowship at Berkeley Law School, having spent a semester at Harvard Law School in 2009 working with Professor Jo Singer. Sinéad Ring is currently a visiting research fellow at Harvard Law School, having previously spent a semester at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 2009. Verona Ní Drisceoil was recently awarded a Fulbright Student Scholar Award and is currently studying at Notre Dame University Law School. In 2009, Máiread Enright was awarded a visiting Research fellowship to Emory Law School, Atlanta and Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto. In previous years, PhD candidates have been awarded visiting fellowships to UCLA, Oslo University, the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, University of Peshawar, Pakistan and La Trobe University, Melbourne.
