Assessment Key Dates

Semester 1 Examinations

UCC is returning to holding in-person written examinations for this academic year, 2021/2022.

Semester 1 written examinations will be held in December (running from 10th to 21st December inclusive, including Saturday, 11th and 18th).   The provisional examination timetable will be available, on the Student Portal, on 5 November, 2021.

Release of Semester 1 Provisional Marks

Provisional marks arising from Semester 1 examinations were released to students on dates specified at: Examinations Results. Students may access their registration profile and examination results via the student portal (MystudentAdmin)

Release of Semester 1 Provisional Marks

Provisional marks arising from Semester 1 examinations will be released to students on dates advertised at the Examinations Results page of the UCC website. Results will be available to students through their student portal (MystudentAdmin)

Semester 2 Examinations

Semester 2 written examinations will be held in April / May (running from 29 April to 13th May, 2022).  The provisional examination timetable will be available on the Student Portal on 21 March, 2022.  

Med V and GEM IV written examinations will commence on 11th April, Med III , IV and GEM II written examinations will commence on 25 April.

Semester 2 Return of Marks

The dates for return of marks for Semester 2 examinations will be conveyed to identified examination liaisons in each Department/School/Programme. They will also be available on the DMIS Mark Return portal. Final, considered, marks must be returned by the scheduled date to facilitate application of Marks and Standards in advance of the scheduled Examination Board for a programme.

Exam Board Dates

Examination Boards will be scheduled and the information circulated by the SREO in line with the information held in the Marks and Standards for a programme. Any request to hold an Examination Board on a date outside that specified must be made in sufficient time to allow for scheduling and return of marks. The Examination Board schedule is confidential and must not be shared with students.

Supplemental Examinations

Supplemental Examinations will be held in August.  Start and end dates will be published in late October.

Supplemental Examinations Return of Marks

The dates for return of marks for Supplemental Examinations will be conveyed to the identified Examination Liaison in each Department/School/Programme. They will also be available on the DMIS Mark Return portal. Final, considered, marks must be returned by the scheduled date to facilitate the application of Marks and Standards process in advance of the scheduled Examination Board for a programme.
