Videos of presentations from the Irish Research Council-funded event 'Anti-Racist Social Justice Praxis across Education Sites in Ireland' are now available online:
This event, co-hosted by the School of Education and Institute for the Social Sciences in the 21st Century UCC, and organised by Dr. Karl Kitching, examined links between race and ethnicity-related injustices inside education settings, and the impact of ‘outside’ injustices on educational opportunities.
The event featured research and knowledge exchange presentations from a mix of scholars and community activists. The event was funded by an Irish Research Council New Foundations Award 2014. It was linked to the dissemination and launch of a new book titled The Politics of Compulsive Education: Racism and Learner-Citizenship by Dr. Karl Kitching, School of Education, UCC.
Sincere thanks to Aidan O'Donoghue, College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, for audio-visual support.
