Content Management System

In UCC we use the TerminalFour content management system (CMS) to maintain the University's website. Each department or office is responsible for their own website. The CMS enables users to create, update and maintain a UCC website without having to worry about the look and feel of their site or the technicalities of HTML and CSS — the UCC styles are used automatically — instead, it allows them to concentrate on the actual information that their site contains.

Users can get their site and their own account set up by completing the new site request form.

For more details please email cmssupport@ucc.ie

Content Management System Training

Training in TerminalFour is provided by the IT Training Centre (see the course dates and outline). You can also check availability by ringing +353 (0)21 490 3749 or by emailing tcentre@ucc.ie

External development

UCC operates 3 lots for website and app digital design and development.

  1. Lot 1: Strategic design and development using Terminal Four and other existing UCC platforms - Single Supplier
  2. Lot 2: External domain websites over €10k - Panel of 3 Suppliers, where a mini-competition is run for specific projects through this lot
  3. Lot 3: External domain websites under €10k - Panel of 2 suppliers, using the cascade model where the lead supplier is the preferred supplier unless they have capacity issues in which case the 2nd supplier can be approached for the work.

In all instances, website and app digital desing and development must be discussed with the DEWG first. This can be done through our Get a New Website form or by emailing dewg@ucc.ie. The first step is to have a conversation with us so we can better understand your requirements and determine which, if any, of the lots are suitable for your needs.

The site MUST be developed on one of the platforms hosted in UCC, see  UCC Website Platforms
