Conor Lyden, CEO, Trustap wins in Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur Regional Finals
IGNITE founder Conor Lyden, CEO, Trustap was awarded the prize of Best Startup in Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur Regional Finals on Monday evening and will now go on to the National IBYE Finals in Dublin.
Conor Lyden, TrustAp and Emily Ahern, Evolve Therapy both took part in the IBYE Regional Finals this week representing South Cork Local Enterprise Office and Cork North/West Local Enterprise Office.
Among last year's 8 national finalists in the Best Established Business category was Richard Barrett, co-founder of Pundit Arena, representing South Cork. Richard received the Best Promotion of Business On-Line Google Award.
And Fiona Edwards-Murphy, founder of Apis Protect, representing Cork North and West was among the 8 national finalists in the Best Business Idea category narrowly missing out on the top award in her category.
IBYE recognises the best young entrepreneurs in three categories; Best New Idea, Best Start-Up Business and Best Established Business and the winners will go forward to represent their Local Enterprise Office at regional level and, ultimately, national level where the winners will receive a share of an investment fund of €2M.
