IGNITE15 Programme

We are now OPEN for applications for the 15th IGNITE Programme.

The twelve month business innovation programme at University College Cork, that nurtures, develops and strengthens entrepreneurial potential, is inviting applications from recent graduates from any discipline, from any third level institution in Ireland with a viable business idea with potential for commercial or social impact. The next 12month programme will commence in early April 2021.

Since its inception in 2011, the Programme has supported 140+ founders that have applied a range of technologies in sectors such as food, pharma, health, finance, retail and media.

This year we are particularly interested in receiving applications from graduates with start-up ideas in the following sectors, Food and Agri Tech, Social Innovation, Business and Financial Services, Healthcare and Life Science, Energy and Marine.

Successful applicants will benefit from a comprehensive start-up support package including:

  • Workshops, seminars and guest speakers
  • Mentors, advisors and industry partners
  • Workshops, Seminars, Training - Comprehensive training schedule
  • Shared workspace in UCC’s Western Gateway Building (currently based in IGNITE's virtual HQ)
  • Seed funding of €5,000
  • Access to UCC’s academic, research and commercialisation expertise
  • We do not take an equity stake in any company

  • A brief 60sec video explaining how you’ll benefit from your participation on IGNITE

  • The name, title and contact details of at least one individual such as a college lecturer or employer who is familiar with your work.
