Fee: €300 (€240 concessionary rate)
This new 20 week course, beginning Monday 11th September 2017, will offer practical assistance to teachers who teach or who wish to teach various subjects through Irish. It will focus on the everyday language of both classroom and staffroom and will also identify suitable language websites that facilitate teaching through a second language. Specialist subject teachers will be available to explain the unique content of their disciplines.
The emphasis throughout the course will be to tackle the routine language needs of the teacher whilst also allowing for a significant input from participants who may wish to have their own particular needs addressed.
The course will have a modest content of grammar but the emphasis will focus primarily on the spoken word and on the functional language that’s used in the classroom.
