Irish Grammar Course for Students

Course Summary

This course will be taught completly through the medium of Irish

This course is available for students who have a particular interest in Irish grammar.

The following will be mentioned as part of this course:

  • The noun
  • The copula
  • The cases
  • Plurals
  • The adjective
  • Numbers
  • Prefixes and suffixes
  • Lenition
  • Using the dictionary etc
All students of UCC are welcome to attend this course.  The course is specifically aimed at students who have a high standard of Irish and who would like to improve their knowledge of Irish grammar.

Course Details - Spring 2022

Course Dates:  week commencing 7th February 2022 – week commencing 28th March 2022* (1 hour every week for 8 weeks).  Please let us know when you are unavailable to attend your class on the application form.     We will try to arrange a class for you at a time that is suitable for you. 

Deadline for Applications:  Thursday 27th January 2022 at 5pm.

Class Details:  Full details about your class will be sent to you via email on or before Wednesday, 2nd February 2022.

* an extra class will be arranged for students who will miss a class due to St. Patrick's Day.

The classes will adhere to government and University Covid-19 guidelines.  Courses may be moved online at any given time.
