Rose Clancy
Biography
Rose Clancy completed BEng (Hons) Biomedical Engineering at Munster Technological University (MTU). She is now a funded PhD Researcher in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (UCC). Her research interests include, Digitalisation, Data Analytics, Process/Quality Improvement, and Industry 4.0 - and their application in the manufacturing engineering sector. Her research aims to facilitate the digitisation of factory data with a view to improving decision making leading to increased efficiency and improved environmental sustainability.
Rose is currently working on a research project that focuses on the development of a digital model/twin to improve energy consumption in manufacturing facilities. The DENiM (Digital intelligence for collaborative ENergy management in Manufacturing) project has 17 participants including industrial collaborators such as Depuy Ireland (Unlimited) and university collaborators such as University College Cork.
