Brendan Keohane
Biography
Brendan Keohane qualified with an Honours Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and is a Certified Energy Manager.
When completing college, Brendan spent over 5 years working as an Energy Engineer within chemical and pharmaceutical facilities, medical device facilities and semi-conductor facilities both in Ireland and abroad, through both Eirdata (an Energy Engineering company based in Cork) and UCC (on the I2E2 project). He also spent time working as Project Engineer with Score Group in Brisbane, Australia, as well as a Commissioning Engineer with PM Group in Novartis, Cork. He also spent 4 and a half years working as a Projects/Commissioning Engineer with Tandem Project Management, Cork.
Currently working as a Project Lead on the DENiM project. Working with UCC, DePuy and a number of universities and manufacturing facilities both in Ireland and Europe, the overarching objective of the DENiM (Digital intelligence for collaborative ENergy management in Manufacturing) project is the development of an interoperable digital intelligence platform to enable a collaborative approach to industrial energy management.
