Danny Keane, Disability Support Service.

In this new initiative, we honour those UCC Heroes who have made an exceptional, if hidden contribution to the university community, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Next up, is Danny Keane of the Disability Support Service.

Danny was nominated by his colleague, Gavin Deady. Here, Gavin tells us why he nominated Danny.

"I would like to nominate Danny Keane in the DSS for all of his work over the last number of months.

Not only was Danny a fundamental member of the team, who supported the transition of our work to the new online arrangements; he has been a great support to staff and students with different questions about Panopto, exams, alternative assessments, etc.

Danny is always helpful and courteous, always willing to help, and very knowledgeable and supportive in all circumstances.

He is a huge asset to the DSS, and wider access and participation. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty."

Well done, Danny!
