Carol Veiga, Graduate Attributes Coordinator

Today‚Äôs UCC Hero is Carol Veiga, Graduate Attributes Coordinator.

Carol was nominated by Eleanor Donoghue, Graduate Attributes Programme Manager. Here, Eleanor shares why Carol is so deserving of this acknowledgement.

"Carol has gone way above and beyond over the last few months - nothing has been seen as a challenge! 

Carol coordinated an entire UCC Virtual Reality Experience during lockdown, liaising with numerous staff university-wide, compiling thousands of emails, collating scripts into a narrative, checking and cross-checking historical information and fun facts, directing a two-week Virtual Reality video shoot compiled of almost 90 valuable sites, and guiding videographers on campus, even during weekends!

How to nominate a UCC Hero/UCC Heroes:

Nominations can be made by any person with respect to an individual or team worthy of celebration as a UCC Hero or Heroes.

Submissions are to be emailed to traininganddevelopment@ucc.ie detailing:

1. 100 words explaining the contribution of the person/team during COVID-19

2. A high-resolution photograph of the person/team

3. Contact details of the nominating staff member
