Overview
This practical session will examine 'Ego States' (Parent, Adult, and Child) and their impact on communication. Balancing these states is crucial for effective interpersonal interactions and essential for healthy communication.
Overall goal: Increase self-awareness. Pay attention to your own and others' behaviour to identify which ego state is dominant in different situations. Use this self-awareness to be more choiceful in your communication approaches.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this interactive online workshop, you will be able to

- Define the three Ego States: Parent, Adult, and Child.
- Identify which Ego State you typically operate from.
- Recognise Ego States in others.
- Apply the Ego States model to enhance your understanding and appreciation of others
- Adjust your communication style to engage more effectively with colleagues, students and others.
- Take away simple commitments to actions and behavioural shifts.
