Covid19 Extension Requests + No Academic Disadvantage Information
If a student estimates they have a valid reason for an extension (without penalty) they should contact the relevant module coordinator in advance of the continuous assessment deadline to make their case. Coordinators may require documentary evidence, if that is feasible, for serious illnesses (including Covid-19), serious personal issues, bereavement of a close relative etc.
History's policy is to maintain a reasonable and accommodating policy during the Covid-19 pandemic and lecturers have been advised to exercise their discretion. This policy has been maintained for the last 12 months and it is in line with the University's No Academic Disadvantage policy.
