John A. Macdonald, Canada's First Prime Minister: Research Seminar, School of History

You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the School of History’s research seminar series, 2013-14.

 

Ged Martin, Emeritus Professor of the University of Edinburgh, will present a paper, ‘John A. Macdonald, Canada’s First Prime Minister: A Biography in 49,000 words’.

 

Prof Martin lectured in the School of History, UCC (1977-83). He has published widely in the history of leading Commonwealth countries, and of Britain and Ireland since the late eighteenth century.

 

The seminar will be held in the Seminar Room, Tyrconnell, at 1pm, next Wednesday 5th March. Tyronnell is located on Perrot Avenue, leading to Hayfield Manor. The building is at the corner of the cul-de-sac immediately before the entrance to Hayfield Manor.
