IRCHSS Successes for UCC History

The School of History has been awarded six of eighteen IRCHSS scholarships awarded to UCC students.
IRCHSS Collaborative Projects
Dr David Edwards: ‘Colonial Landscape of the Great Earl of Cork, 1602-1643’ (in conjunction with Archaeology)
Dr Jason Harris: ‘The Third Tongue: Latin Learning and Identity in Ascendancy Ireland, c.1600-1750 (in conjunction with the Centre for Neo-Latin Studies)
Both projects involve significant funding and the employment of post-docs and research assistants.

Dr Sally-Anne Treharne to convert into a book her PhD on ‘Latin America and the Renewal of the Special Relationship under Regan and Thatcher, 1981-1987’ (Advisor: Dr Mervyn O’Driscoll)
