The Centre for Local and Regional Governance (CLRG) at University College Cork was established in January 2016. The remit of the CLRG is to foster innovative research in the areas of local and regional governance. It is hoped that the research initiatives of the centre will help to open a constructive dialogue about sub-national government at home and abroad and will help drive change at the level of local and regional government. The CLRG will also provide a platform where a wide variety of stakeholders including politicians, practitioners, business interests, civic society and academics can collaborate on innovative research projects. The CLRG will be officially launched on Thursday 25th of February 2016 and the CLRG web site is currently under construction.
