Hanna Völker

Hanna Völker studied gymnasiales Lehramt (subjects: German and English) at the University of Marburg, Germany and Southampton University, UK. She received an additional qualification for teaching German as a Foreign and Second Language from Marburg University in 2017. Her dissertation (Staatsexamen) at the University of Marburg was based on a linguistic analysis of the German immigration discourse in relation to a diachronic study of lexemes, metaphors and argumentation patterns from the post-World-War-II Gastarbeiter-period. Her research interests include pragmatics, especially the linguistics of politics, discourse linguistics, media linguistics and language teaching.


Hanna was DAAD-Sprachassistentin from September 2017 until June 2019 and is College Language Teacher since July 2019.
