Dragan Miladinović studied Transcultural Communication, his working languages being German, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and French, Translation Studies and German as a Foreign and Second Language at the University of Vienna. He obtained his master’s degree in German as a Foreign and Second Language with a thesis on the term „Zweitsprache" (second language), analyzing possible social consequences for people being labelled by this term. Since 2011, he taugth German as a Second Language at different institutions for further education. Since 2015, he held several workshops of further education/professional development for German teachers in cooperation with Kultur und Sprache, a department of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. His research interest lies in critical applied linguistic as well as language teaching. He is currently conducting a PhD project on performative language teaching.
Dragan joined the Department of German in September 2015 as Austrian Exchange Lecturer (OeAD) and is College Language Teacher since July 2018. He is the coordinator for the Languages for All-programme, the First Year Language modules as well as for the Department's Evening Class Programme.
