An important component of the Food Science degree at UCC is the work placement programme, which is organised by our dedicated work placement officer. This takes place in third year (from April – September) and can be in Ireland or abroad. Work placement offers students a unique opportunity to acquire the skills of teamwork, decision making and initiative while applying the theories learnt in university to practice. A graduate with experience of working as a professional in his/her field with the most up-to-date developments in Industry is an attractive potential employee.
