Fanyu Meng


Fanyu completed her MSc (Hons) in Food Sciences at University College Cork(UCC) in 2016. She also received a BSc Hons in from UCC in 2015. During her undergraduate degree she undertook work experience with Nestle Nutrition Ireland in Askeaton, where she was based in the new product development department.

Fanyu is now a PhD candidate in the UCC, working as part of INFAMILK project founded by Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Ireland under the supervision of Professor Alan Kelly. The focus of her thesis is the composition and physio-chemical properties of human milk. Other research interests include the bioactivity of proteins and the functionality of enzymes in human milk.
