Congratulations to Karen Desmond (BMus, 1992, and former lecturer, 2011-13) whose volume Music and the moderni, 1300-1350: The ars nova in Theory and Practice, published by Cambridge University Press, has been awarded the Lewis Lockwood Award by the American Musicological Society.
