Learn how to produce high quality videos with Apple's Final Cut Pro X.

Available to all UCC staff, Post-doctoral Researchers and PhD students.

Final Cut Pro X is a revolutionary video editing application that makes it possible for beginners and seasoned professionals alike to create impressive resulting videos. Start with basic video editing techniques and work all the way through Final Cut Pro's powerful advanced features. This class is designed for those looking to learn how to edit video through hands-on and interactive instruction.

Being able to transform video into meaningful content that can be presented to a wider audience can be an essential tool in today’s world of digital media and e-learning. Trainees on the course will gain the knowledge necessary to package this content, be it research material; archive footage; personal projects, into a format that can be used to further portray this information effectively. You will also be shown how to share this edited content to a variety of destinations from a master file to a Youtube Channel, directly from within the application itself.


Two dates are available to attend this 1-day course:

April Wednesday 8th and Thursday 16th, from 10:00am – 5:00pm           (1 hr lunch + 2 x 10 min breaks, lunch not included)

Trainees should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:

  • Knowledge of Apple OS X and basic computer navigation
  • Basic knowledge of editing terminology is highly recommended
