Irish Dairy Sector meet to discuss Sustainability Challenges
On Thursday and Friday the 21st and 22nd of November the Food Industry Training Unit, School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, UCC and the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS) held a high-level two-day training event on environmental sustainability.
The event provided for a unique opportunity for co-operative board directors and senior management to engage with the leading policy, industry and academic experts in the area of the environment.
The event was held in the UCC’S Centre for Executive Education, the Old Cork Savings Bank in Lapps Quay and was attended by over 70 board directors, senior management, industry and academic experts.
Attendees engaged in valuable discussions allowing them to evaluate and develop solutions and approaches that will now enable the Irish dairy sector to respond positively to the pressing challenges related to environmental sustainability.
