Nominate a 'Teaching Hero' now!
National forum student led teaching awards in higher education recognising, celebrating, sharing and enhancing outstanding impact on learning in higher education.
Individual students will nominate their Teaching Hero through the online nomination form. The form asks them to write a short personal piece that explains why this person is their Teaching Hero. A Teaching Hero is an individual who has made an impact at a key transition in a student’s learning journey in higher education. This is in keeping with the current enhancement theme of the National Forum- Teaching for Transitions. Students can only nominate an individual who taught them while they were a registered student. Based on student nominations, local student working groups will identify up to two Teaching Heroes to receive a National award. The identification process used in each institution will be locally implemented but informed by the National guidelines produced by the National Forum in partnership with USI and other student representatives.
