Transition Year business projects awards 2014
These Awards aim to foster entrepreneurialism in students by encouraging them to develop collaborative business related projects with their peers and write about their experience of their Mini Company or School Bank.
Students participating in the 2014 Transition Year Business Awards are requested to submit a 1,500 word project based on their experience of their school’s Mini Company/Enterprise/School Bank. This year, the judging panel are asking students to review the resources available to a Start-Up Business and comment on the key framework, infrastructure or resource necessary to grow your business. Projects must show creative and original ideas, tell the story of how their business developed and show how their business impacts on job creation. Students must prepare a brief synopsis of their project to present at the awards ceremony on 9th April in the Aula Maxima, UCC in the event that they are chosen as prize-winners or highly commended. The prize for this year’s winning team is €1,000 for their school and €500 and €250 for those schools in second and third place. The closing date for entries is 20th March 2014.
