Centre for Global Development Assembly and Reception
You are cordially invited to a meeting of the CGD Assembly (any staff in UCC with an interest in international/global development) on Thursday 9th November at 4pm – 5 pm in the Council Room. The Centre for Global Development (CGD) was established in UCC in 2010, aimed at facilitating and encouraging collective engagement on issues of international development and global sustainability. Earlier this year UMTO re-affirmed its support to the CGD, reporting to the Office of the Senior Vice President Academic, and it is expected to play an important role in realising some of the global ambitions of the 2017-2022 UCC Strategic Plan. You are cordially invited to a meeting of the CGD Assembly (any staff in UCC with an interest in international/global development) on Thursday 9th November at 4pm – 5 pm in the Council Room. Dr Nick Chisholm, Director of the CGD, will make a brief presentation on the Centre followed by an open discussion where we are seeking your views on potential priority areas that the CGD might address. The meeting will be followed by a Reception in the Staff Common Room from 5pm, to which you are all invited.
