Muskerry Hunt Club Point-to-Point Racing Carnival
On Saturday Nov 2nd, with the cooperation of The Munster Agricultural Soc., and University College Cork, Muskerry Hunt Club are running a Point to Point race meeting, at Curraheen Bishopstown, supporting Cork Cancer Research.
Muskerry Hunt Club, is bringing the thrills and excitement of horse racing back to Cork City!
On Sat. Nov 2nd, with the cooperation of The Munster Agricultural Soc., and University College Cork, Muskerry Hunt Club are running a Point to Point race meeting, at Curraheen Bishopstown, supporting Cork Cancer Research. This new innovative event brings Cork Racing back to the days of the old Cork Park Race Course, closed in 1917 to make way for the Henry Ford Tractor plant, and more part became the former Show Grounds in Ballintemple.
An action packed, Day at the Races, will be on your door step like never before with the best of National Hunt racing over a new track in a park setting. If you live in the city you can even take the No 8 bus to the race course.
Racing begins at 12.00 noon, Bar Facilities, Food and children's entertainment will be provided on site to make this a complete family day for young and old alike.
Muskerry Hunt, part of the sporting history of this area since its founding in 1742, is delighted to be associated with Cork Cancer Research, and assures all of a good day out.
Research has changed the face of cancer from a disease from which one died to one with which we survive and live. The public support for this work is vital to its continued success.
