Dr Gary Reilly - Pesky Gnats!
Pesky Gnats! - Can we use computer games and apps to transform the delivery of mental health interventions to young people?
Dr Gary O’ Reilly is a Senior Lecturer in UCD's School of Psychology. He is the Director of the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology at UCD and a Principal Clinical Psychologist at the Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street, Dublin. Gary writes: “In recent years a significant focus of my work is the development and evaluation of child friendly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) interventions for young people delivered through a computer game and App called "Pesky Gnats". Our team would like to contribute to the transformation of mental health intervention for young people through technology. We believe the funding (or lack of funding) to a service should not be a barrier to any young person accessing our games and Apps.”
