We are very proud to announce The Anatomy of Complications Workshop (ACW) is coming to the Northern Hemisphere for the first time since its inception in 2000 and will take place in Cork on the 31st August and 1st of September 2018.
We are very proud to announce The Anatomy of Complications Workshop (ACW) is coming to the Northern Hemisphere for the first time since its inception in 2000 and will take place in Cork on the 31st August and 1st of September 2018. This is as a result of collaboration between The Anatomy of Complications Workshop directors, the Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC) at The University of Western Australia and the ASSERT Centre in Cork. This world recognized resource was conceived and developed by Prof Ian Hammond (Gynaecological oncologist) and Dr John Taylor (Urologist) in association with Prof Paul McMenamin (Anatomist) in Perth, Australia. SUITABLE FOR Consultant obstetricians and gynaecologists as well as senior O&G residents DATES Friday 31 August and Saturday 1 September 2018 ABOUT We are honoured to have both Prof Paul McMenamin and Prof Yee Leung (Gynaecological oncologist) who is a current Director of the Workshop in Perth, on the Faculty. They are joined by leading experts in the fields of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Colorectal Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Urology. The objective of the Workshop is to enhance understanding of the anatomy of the pelvis and improve management and prevention of surgical complications. It will provide the participants the opportunity to practice a range of procedures not commonly performed in clinical practice. Hands-on dissection and grouping of participants of similar skill levels enables discussion and group learning under expert supervision. The sessions are fully interactive with a high ratio of knowledgeable faculty to participants. Faculty provide superior training and immediate feedback in a practical and controlled workshop environment. Workshop Content This course consists of four integrated modules Anatomy Surgical Skills Cadaveric Surgery Case Presentations Workshop Inclusions Fresh frozen human cadaveric dissection Didactic sessions All meals and refreshments and Workshop Dinner on Friday 31 August 2018 DATES Friday 31 August and Saturday 1 September 2018
