New evidence for the physical activity health paradox from the prospective Kuopio Ischemic Heart Disease Risk Factor Study - Dr Niklas Krause, UCLA

Dr. Krause is professor of epidemiology and of environmental health sciences at the Fielding School of Public Health, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, and Director of the NIOSH-sponsored Southern California Education and Research Center providing academic and professional training programs in Occupational Medicine, Occupational and Enivronmental Health Nursing, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Occupational Epidemiology as well as doctoral and postdoctoral research training in the areas of occupational health and safety and epidemiology. Professor Krause has been trained as a physician at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where he received his doctoral degree in orthopedic medicine (Dr. med.). He received his MPH and PhD in epidemiology at the University of California at Berkeley. His research focuses on the occupational epidemiology of chronic musculoskelletal and cardiovascular diseases.
