School of Economics Public Talks Series

UCC School of Economics Public Talks Series - International and regional competitiveness of the Irish economy

The talks are aimed at the general public. They are non-technical (and non-political), informative, at times maybe provocative and even entertaining. The talks showcase the range of research and expertise in the School of Economics in UCC, and engage the public on issues that are both topical and of widespread interest. In our first year, we highlight issues around the economics of sustainability; from the sustainability of Irish public finances and the economic recovery, to public policy issues in the areas of health insurance, sport, science and innovation, education and climate change.
