Dr. Caroline Osella - Reader in Anthropology with Reference to South Asia, SOAS London, will be speaking on "Debating Shirk (Idolatry) in Keralam, South India: Monotheism between Tradition, Text & Performance." This event is presented by the Study of Religions - School of Asian Studies, in Cooperation with Cork’s Three Faiths Forum. Dr. Amanullah De Sondy, Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Islam and Acting Head for the School of Asian Studies, will serve as chair for the discussion.
